First responders can access additional free pipeline emergencies training through the National Association of State Fire Marshals (NASFM) website. This “Pipeline Emergency Training Portal” program, sponsored by the American Petroleum Institute (API) and the Association of Oil Pipelines (AOPL), provides free training to first responders and is available 24/7.

The self-paced training is the perfect way to continue your professional development on your own schedule. You will receive a printable certificate that may be used to demonstrate successful completion of continuing education units (CEUs).  Learn more...

Access your County Toolkit throughout the year where you can find county-specific maps, operator lists and tools to enhance training, preplanning and response.

Step 2

WATCH your 50-minute County-Specific Pipeline Safety Training Video below as an individual, show during an upcoming group training session, download the video (and toolkit items) and upload content into your own online training platform or send this web page link to your responders to watch on their own.

Step 3

REPORT each training completion using the "Report Training Completions" tool found at the bottom of this page to ensure all participation is included in our outreach results. You will have the option to type in one trainee name or a list of trainee names. You can also upload your own training roster or other documents (i.e., photos of your training session) at the bottom of the form.

Once submitted, you will receive an email with a Certificate of Completion attached for your own uses, records or needs.
